The Beaux-Arts style Russell Senate Office Building, built in 1908, houses over 30 senators’ offices. From 2017 through early 2023, Wagner crews performed over 3 phases of construction, installing new 20oz flat seam copper balcony roofs & drains, new 20oz copper chimney flashings, and other miscellaneous flashings and gutters, along with fully-reinforced Kemper cold-applied waterproofing systems. A unique challenge presented on this project was that much of the balcony work was performed during overnight work hours in order to maintain occupied office work environments for the Senators and their staff members inside.
