Our “Fit Body, Fit Mind” 2022 Challenge:
Exercise 60 min/day from June 13-26, 2022

Exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on mental wellbeing. Science has proven that there are extensive mental health benefits to be gained from exercise. Through the social fitness app, Strava, members of our staff and community can log their exercises with the goal to be active for at least 60 minutes per day for 14 consecutive days. In doing so, we hope to help raise awareness around mental health as we each reap the mental benefits from being active.

During the “Fit Body, Fit Mind” Challenge acclaimed sports journalist and ultra endurance athlete Rupert Guinness will compete in the Race Across America (RAAM). For the third year running Wagner will continue our support for Rupert Guinness as he is now able to race across America (where the prior years have seen him race virtually and race across Australia in his lead up to competing in RAAM).

Within 12 days, Rupert must cycle 3000 miles, across 12 states, and climb over 170,000 vertical feet.

Wagner will be supporting Rupert during his journey from the saddle of his bike as he rides across the US finishing in Annapolis, MD, just 30 miles from the Wagner Roofing offices.

The “Fit Body, Fit Mind” Challenge is free to join for everyone, all you’ll need to do is download the free Strava App to your smartphone or access it through your web browser. Strava’s free membership will allow you to participate, once you’ve joined our “Wagner Roofing” Group at www.strava.com/clubs/wagnerroofing.

All types of exercise count: running, walking, yoga, cycling, golf, soccer, lifting, etc… And if you miss a day or two, don’t worry about it, that’s completely fine. You can either make that time up another day or just get in whatever commitment you are able to. This is all about getting active, having fun, and taking note of the mental benefits of exercise.

During Wagner’s “Fit Body, Fit Mind Challenge” we will have some fun free activities for you to get involved in, check out strava posts or our social media posts to join.
